Defining Online and Blended Learning Through Experience
Through this course, my understanding of online and blended learning has not changed much, but it has become clearer and stronger. I started the class with significant experience in both formats, as a student and an educator. Because of this, a lot of the course content confirmed what I already believed about effective digital instruction instead of introducing completely new ideas. Nevertheless, the course helped me express why certain approaches work and how careful design is crucial for student engagement and success. To me, online learning is a fully digital space where instruction, communication, and assessment happen through learning management systems and online tools. Blended learning, on the other hand, mixes face-to-face instruction with digital experiences in a purposeful way.
